I realized very early on in my life that I have an interest in people. As  a child I would speak with strangers that I met to learn about them and tell them about me. This has grown into my passion for meeting and supporting anyone that needs help. I have worked with a range of individuals from all walks of life, using my passion and experience to help them understand and overcome whatever is holding them back.

My psychotherapy training began when I was working for NHS mental health services. I had worked in a number of roles in inpatient and community services and found that I did not feel like I was really helping those I met. I found my way onto a psychotherapy course provided by the NHS trust I worked with and it gave me my first experience of the effectiveness of psychotherapy.

I continued my training at the University of Roehampton, completing an MSc and have trained to work with children and young people (PG Dip, University of South Wales), to supervise others in the helping professions (Dip in Supervision, CSTD Bath) and to use Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help my clients work through their traumas (Dr Button EMDR Training).

I have been practising since 2011 and have seen a range of clients (both adults and young people) with difficulties ranging from neurodivergence, relationship troubles, anxiety and depression and drug and alcohol problems and severe childhood trauma. I previously managed two successful counselling services, offered telephone counselling to unpaid carers, planned and ran group therapy sessions and therapeutic workshops for those estranged from their families as well as volunteered my therapeutic skills to a range of charities, from young people's bereavement to drug and alcohol to general mental health support.

My other qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in psychology from the University of Bristol and  a qualification in community mental health awarded from City and Guilds and I take part in regular CPD as part of my registration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

You may be coming here for any number of difficulties you have experienced in your life. I hope to be able to help you, as I have helped many others. Together we can learn your story and how you can move on from your difficulties.
