Rewind Therapy

What is Rewind Therapy?
Rewind therapy is a psychological technique designed to help individuals overcome traumatic recall (flashbacks) by guiding them through a process of visualization and desensitization. This therapeutic approach aims to alleviate symptoms by addressing the root cause of distressing experiences.
What happens in a session?
We will discuss what Rewind is, how it works and I will ask you to complete a screening tool to see how likely Rewind is to help you. You will also have a chance to ask any questions you have and we will ensure you are feeling safe enough to begin the therapy. Then, using a cinema as a starting point, we will use visualization to help you process the traumatic event you are re-experiencing.
What is Rewind Therapy used for?
Rewind Therapy is specifically designed to help individuals better cope with traumatic recall, also known as flashbacks.
Can Rewind Therapy help me?
If you experience flashbacks after a traumatic event, Rewind may be able to help you. It can be done relatively quickly, within the space of one session. It is also helpful used in combination with other psychotherapies to help you understand the lasting impact of the traumatic event.
